    Hello

In a conference shot with my camcorder, I need to replace some sections of the video with some JPGs taken from the PowerPoint used by the speaker.

I found how to select a video segment, but I can't figure out how to replace the video with some JPG. I attached a screenshot.

Could someone tell me how to do this?

    Thank you.

  2. put the image on a track above the video, move it and trim it down to the section you want

you can think of it as "covering up" the video underneath

Thanks. What do you mean with "put the image on a track above the video"? Add a new video track through "Insert > Video Track", or pasting the JPG into the Video Overlay track?

I checked the Help file, but didn't find an explanation about what the Text track and Video Overlay track do.

  4. Not sure how it's done in the studio version, but you can put a still image on a video track in the pro version. It should be the same or similar in the studio version

Where it says "insert video track" , try that . Position the new <empty> video track above the old video. Then drag your image to that new <empty> track

If that doesn't work, try dragging the still image onto the "video overlay" track (number 2 in your screenshot)

Thanks for the help. I found how it's done:
    1. Add the JPGs into the project through Project > Import Media. All the media available in the project are now listed in the Project Media section
    2. In the Video track, go to the location where you want the JPG to start
    3. Drag and drop the JPG from the Project Media section to the video track
    4. Using the mouse, pull the right-side of the JPG to adjust how long it should be displayed.

Sounds obvious now, but I was expecting this option to be displayed in the menus instead.

    Thanks again.
