Ok im all new to this so this is what i do to create a vcd

In order of the links i first convert avi to mpg then encode it with tmpgenc

the problem i am having is i did planet of the apes avi to mpg which i think is too big. I extracted the audio in virtual dub but i get a 1.37 gig wav file. when i encoded the movie and burned it to vcd format it was too big , around 1.2 gigs. The movie says 1:55 min in winmedia player when playing as a AVI.
I was thinking of since i use 44100 to use 22100khz , THE question i have is how do i fit this on one CD. I think it would be riduculus to have 2 cds for 1 movie all the time.
There has to be a way to put this on one CD. I used the following links as guides to creating the last VCD which ended up being 1.2 gigs
    Please help
    thanks

  2. You'll have to have a closer look at the Help and How To sections to the left.
There you'll find many templates in the Tools section that can be utilized in TMPGE allowing your movie to be encoded to a XVCD which will allow you to fit it on 2 cd's(some may suggest 1 but the quality would be debateable).
All my converts are on 2 cd's.....at fifty cents a piece I would say its a bargain!(by the way leave the audio at 44100 for XVCD).
