ok, im fairly familiar with premiere and dv capture... i use to be able to capture with no dropped frames until my motherboard shit to bed... so i RMA the board and got a new one back, formatted my drive and reinstalled winxp... now when capturing i get about 4-10 dropped frames right at the start of the capture then none for the rest. i guess it doesnt really matter if i fix this or not since after the initial dropped frames it doesnt affect quality... but kinda anoying and i want an answer to why it does it?? Also this happens with any capture program ive tried, not just premiere... If i capture to the main drive i get wicked bad dropped frames... but capturing to the storage/capture drive it does what i explained... all hard drives are 7200 rpm ata 100...
Athlon XP 1600
Abit KR7A-Raid
Raid-0 with 2 40gig harddrives for main drive
80 gig storage/capture drive
Koutech Firewire card
also as a side question... i posted this a while back and never got a responce... so i guess ill try again....
is there any way to delete content off of a miniDV tape?? like not just record over but to actually "format" the tape... because in order to use the "blank search" feature of my camera the tape must be blank.
