does it support ms directshow and capturing to direct show codecs

now i have a pii with 350hz processor.

am i gonna get mpeg1 and mpeg 2 comparable to tmpg

do they make true video capture cards for laptops. i'm getting a new laptop n it's gonna have at least 700hz processing power.

should i buy a usb capture device

are their any usb mpeg encoders
