  1. I just put a ATI AIW 128 with the Theater capture ship, and first tried the latest drivers from ATI. I could capture using MMC7.1 up to good quality, but selecting Best quality, it crashes when hitting the record button. Since I don't like the ugly interface of the TV function in MMC7.1,
I would like to get the VFW drivers installed, and tried to install the last version on the ATI site that has both the WDM and the VFM driver support. However, installing that driver, will not make the ATI capture card available to Vdub or Vidcap32, or any other capture program. I have removed the old drivers, and installed the new ones many times. WDM works fine using WinMe Moviemaker, but Moviemaker cannot record AVI or use any third party encoders like Picvideo.
Does anybody know of a good working VFM driver for AIW128 in WinMe? Also, when are Vdub and other capture programs starting to use WDM instead of the old VFM?
    Keep the answers comming...

  3. Your best bet at this point is to get the VFW wrapper drivers for the ATI card. This is basically a translation driver that takes VFW requests and translates them to WDM requests.

I am pretty sure I saw a link to them on here a couple of weeks ago. If you search on wrapper you will more than likely find a link.
