DVD Ripping,Can Do But Would Like Some Help From The Experts

I can rip dvds to vcd using

Smart ripper
dvd2avi
tmpgenc plus

But on a couple of the movies,around people and objects theres a it of specklie ness,is there away to remove this ???

also after encoding and i load the mpg into nero it always tells me that its not compliant.I know this will make a xvcd and they work fine but i was wondering if theres a option in tmpgenc to make it always complaint ?

Your bitrate might be too high or too low... For VCD standard 1150kbps and svcd standard is 2520kbps try to keep them at that...

Yeah my birate is et to 1150kbps,but still on some dvd rips it gets that specklie ness around the edge of objects and people.

I am trying to do to rip a dvd as you have been but after TmpgEnc, I get audio and video out of sync. Could you , please, help me in this? What are your settings for TmpgEnc?
