  1. hi guys

    i have cd mate v.2.2.5

i am trying to copy protected CDs using cd mate with the default settings but i could not

is there a specific settings i have to do before copying protected CDs?????????

  2. It depends on what you are trying to copy and I do reccomend cloneCD 4.0 for making backups.

  3. thanx Mr.IonNuke

but does CloneCD4.0 copy protected CDs...and what's the benifit of making backups????

  4. I use CloneCD to make backup copies of my games because my cousins like to run around with my original copies of my games and throw them around like frisbees.

So I make a backup copy and leave those laying around so when ever they destroy those copies I always have the original to refer to.

Well CloneCD4 is capable with reproducing copies of games/cds with Macrovision's SafeDisc and SafeDisc v2****. Those are the main CD Protections that you might stumble upon.

Well What are you trying to copy and What burner are you using if you don't mind me asking???

**** Not all burners are capable of reproducing SafeDisc v2.0 and SafeDisc v2.51.021

  5. CloneCD has garnered more HYPE than it's worth, BLAH. If you live in a region that does not allow "Magnification of Weak Sectors" then CloneCD will not be making 1:1 copies. But I think CloneCD has completely removed this feature anyways so I guess your making dirty copies which aren't completely identical to the original. Go find a OLD version of CloneCD if you want "Weak Sector Amplification", otherwise live with dirty copies.

You'd be better off to try the BlindWrite/BlindRead suite that offers much better ability to create 1:1 copies of PC cd-rom games. It has "Weak Sectors Amplification enbaled on ALL versions regardless of region.

These are EXACT 1:1 originals that are identical to the original. I've made perfect copies of Safe Disc, Safe Disc v2, and Safe Disc v2.51.XX, and even one SAGES protected game and others such as CDZilla.....etc

Oh yeah IonNuke is correct in stating that you need a HIGH Quality CD-RW drive [ie Plextor, TEAC,.....etc] to reproduce games that use good copy protections such as SafeDisc. So those $49, $69, $89 high speed CD-RW drives from Acer, Light On, LG may write very fast and cheap but not very good in the long run.

  6. thanx all Mr.IonNuke and Mr.deadpac

Mr.IonNuke i want to copy some games forPS2

ok u advise me to use cloneCD but an old version

could u please tell me what is it exactly

    and soooooooory for bothering u

  7. 1. PS2 games aren't even on CD. They are on DVD.
    2. This thread has nothing to do with authoring or burning S/VCD or DVD.
