    Without going into to much detail:

    I need to make a back-up (read that clone) dvd for some software I bought several years ago.

    The dvd’s to be backed up are installers.

    What’s the best tool here to accomplish that?

    Seriously ?

    Pretty much any software that will rip a software disc to ISO then burn it back to a dvdr, as long as it will fit on said dvdr.

    2nd vote for ImgBurn.....

    Assuming you meant DVDR by dvdv
