How do I download this (FLV) video tutorial?
I need a tool which is able to detect and to autodownload this video.
VDownloader for example does NOT do the job.

It's a .swf file, not flv

 http://docs.jboss.org/tools/movies/demos/RiftSaw-BPEL_business_process/RiftsawHelloWorld.swf
-
	>streamtransport

Hmm, this tool does NOt the job.

How do I find out if the embedded video is an *.flv or *.swf video?

Again: Which tool can download the video?

You probably have to screen capture it if you want it as a video.

"Just another sheep boy, duck call, swan
song, idiot son of donkey kong - Julian Cope"

Ok, from the source I can see that it is a *.swf file.

But how do I get the link which "K" posted previously?
I can NOT derive the full URL or parts of it.
I need a general procedure for future similar situations.

 Again here is the URL:
 docs.jboss.org/tools/movies/demos/RiftSaw-BPEL_business_process/RiftsawHelloWorld.swf

and the source is attached as snapshot

 Thank you
 Peter

In the parameters for the Flash Player, it says src="RiftsawHelloWorld.swf".
That filename is relative to the location of the html page, from which you derive the link posted by "k.".

No problem at all downloading the .swf file using DownloadHelper addon for FireFox. Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
-
	Hmm, thank you.
 I installed that plugin.
However I found NO way to download the mentioned *.swf file.
Assume I started Firefox and loaded the URL in question.

How can I tell DownloadHelper to download that *.swf?
 If I go to menu
 Tools->DownloadHelper
then I found no entry which let me download this *.swf video.
In contrast I got the impressiong that only "supported" sites are supported.
The jboss.org site is not really a typical video download site.

Works for me - click on the DownloadHelper button in the toolbar (three coloured rotating balls).
I was able to download the file (9.1Mb) and play it in Media Player Classic.
-
Or you can download with Orbit Downloader
just add new download with link: http://docs.jboss.org/tools/movies/demos/RiftSaw-BPEL_business_process/RiftsawHelloWorld.swf

Ok, thank you. But we misunderstood each other.
Yes, I know a lot of tools which can download a specific video/*.swf clip DIRECTLY.

But what I am searching is a tool to which I can pass only the "wrapper" URL.
This tools should be able to investigate INDEPENDENTLY what video/*.swf stuff is inside the HTML/JavaScript
 code and download it.

I don't want to always peek into this code to find out the exact Download URL.
The tool should do it for me.

 So again the question:

 Is there a investigate-swf-inside-tool?

 Thank you
 Peter

That's exactly what Firefox's DownloadHelper does.
