  1. I have read on this forum that TMPGEnc can convert wav files to mp2 but I have not discovered how. Any help would be appreciated.

    Go "File --> New Project", then on the blank project window, just Go to "Audio Source", and select the WAV file. DON'T select any video. You can name the output file just below that.

    When you click "Setting", you can choose the attributes of the Layer-2 Audio file (bitrate). Click "START" and you're on your way.

    As a matter of fact, I'm doing one as we speak!

    P.S. - You can do it this using TMPGEnc's encoder (WAV to .MP2 only, I'd suggest), or go under "Environmental Setting" and choose "Toolame" for exgternal Layer-2 encoder (you have to posess it first of course). Either way should turn out well for WAV to .MP2 conversion...

    Just don't do .MP2 to .MP2 directly with TMPGEnc, you'll get the "ringing"...
