Hi Guys
I recently got a capture card (ATI stick) and i was wondering if their is any software out there that is an all in one that will let me capture my video and encode it to my desired file size and format as I watch it (on the fly video encoding?) is this possible? if so how?
Thanks

You can software encode on the fly, but not as likely to your desired file size and format. FRAPS encodes on the fly, but it uses it's own codec. Most PCs would have a hard time encoding Xvid or H.264, or even MPEG-2 on the fly without using a hardware encoder such as one of the Hauppauge video cards or similar.
Your ATI stick likely uses a software encoder, and that takes a lot of processing power unless you can use a codec like HuffyUV or similar. Then you would have to re-encode that to Xvid, MPEG-2 or similar.
