I have been creating VCDs, but the TMPGE step takes so long because I'm still running a slow 433
Needless to say, I'm in the process of upgrading to something a touch better!
Does anybody know of a good deal or place to look for good deals?
I'm semi computer savy, so I can do some minor assembly too.
Thanks

Do you reside in any particular area of the world, or do you just exist everywhere? Someone might be able to suggest a good local shop - if they knew where you were (a city name would be adequate).
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
I'm everywhere
Sorry, just kidding, I live in the United States, Illinois to be specific. -
If you making a homebrew system, you might be able to save a few bucks on HD space by sticking with the trusty 5400 RPM HDs. Cnet.com has an article on their site recently about hard drives and basically said that the older, less expensive 5400 rpm drives were almost as fast as the 7200 rpm drives. I decided to put my money where my mouth was and picked up a Western Digital 120gig drive for $100 at Fry's to use for video only storage and have had no problems yet.
