I had some movies of my kiddo playing soccer.. These were in AVI format out of my camcorder, but after I purchased convertxtodvd I put them onto a DVD. Now 2 years later CD's are piling up, I have a TB Drice I would like to place them on to watch off that. On the DVD these are divided up into 3 or 4 VOB Files, is there a way I can make them one AVI File?

    Thanks

1 copy and paste the VOB files onto your hard drive

2 merge them together -- there are free programs available online that do this..... here's one

Converting them back to AVI will, mostly likely, reduce the quality. Use VOB2MPG to extract the video title(s) as an mpeg file to store on your HDD.

I still can't get this work.. I have tried VOB merge.. VOB2MPG.. and a few other few trail .. Seems if I move my Vob files over to my desktop, I can't merge them..

Is there a way just to change a DVD disc to a MPG or AVI without moving and merging?

if this is not a commercial disc (and you ave said you made it, so it isn't) then you can use VOB2MPG to read the original VOBs form the DVD, and create an mpg file on your PC HDD. I have done this many times, and know it works. If you cannot make it work on your PC then you are doing something wrong, but would have to provide a lot more detail on exactly what you are doing in order to get meaningful help.
