1. I want to add an image (jpg, gif, whatever) to the beginning (in front) of videos I edit. I need it to display for about 5 seconds - kind of like a Copyright message. Can this be done? If so, how?

How does this sound?

Use a jpg file and load it into Microsoft windows movie maker.
set the timing to 5 seconds.
Save (export) as a dv-avi.
Load (import) it into your dvd author program with your other video files.
Set it as the first play item and author to a VIDEO_TS folder.
Burn with imgburn.
Done...............

3. Thank you. I thought it would involve some program to convert the image file to a video clip, but I just didn't know which.
