Ok, for the past few days I've been trying about everything to convert my 1080i HDTV transport stream file (recorded with mediaportal) to DVD5 and I'm totally stuck. Nothing that I've tried seems to work.
ConvertXtoDVD gave me the best result, best quality but the audio is always out of sync. I've been re-encoding with different settings and tips from the VSO forum but nothing helped, audio is always off.
I can't even convert this file to MPEG2. Several tools such as HDTV2MPEG always say video sequence header not found.
So what is the easiest way to convert my .TS file to DVD5 with the best quality?

Well I finally got some result. What I did was convert it to m2v with the filmmachine, but after that the audio was scrambled. So I demuxed the AC3 track from the TS file with dgavcdec, put it all in DVD Lab pro, set the audio delay as stated in the filename and converted it to DVD.

It worked now and I have now a nice quality DVD with in sync audio, although I guess there must be an easier way this works for me

You could use ProjectX to demux and correct timing errors producing a mpv file and an AC3 as well as a srt subtitle track if you put te correct page number in presettings. ProjectX works very well for DVB standard TS files. All you need to do is then remux the audio and video track, put them in their own folder along with the srt track and point VSO ConvertXtoDVD at the MPEG2 file and it will do the rest..

ProjectX only corrects timing and transmission errors in Demux mode btwSONY 75" Full array 200Hz LED TV, Yamaha A1070 amp, Zidoo UHD3000, BeyonWiz PVR V2 (Enigma2 clone), Chromecast, Windows 11 Professional, QNAP NAS TS851
