I bought a Magnavox NB500MG1F Blu Ray player for the house. Not a big buck machine, but seems decent. For a couple weeks the machine worked on my Westinghouse LTV 27w7 hdtv. This tv has a single hdmi port. I know some of the newer ones have two.
We also have Dish HD. I have installed a simple, manual, hd switched to change between the Blu Ray and the Dish.
The other night the Magnavox quit working via the HDMI cable. It still works via the yellow/red/white cables when I plug them in.
I took the Magnavox back. Still not HDMI. Still video via the yellow/red/white cables.
So, why would my tv quit playing via the magnavox? Magnavox support said something about Cat 1 or Cat 2 HDMI Cables? Is this is so, why would it work at first and then quit?
The Dish NEVER quit playing via the HDMI port.
Do I need to do some kind of upgrade to my Westinghouse TV? Is so, HOW?
If you have any ideas what is going on, I'd sure appreciate a heads up on this one, it is very frustrating.

hmmm, I am not sure. I assumed that was somewhat automatic. Several if the features seem to be greyed out. I've looked. I'll look again. But why would it have worked in the past in and not now though?
