A few days ago, I posted a message asking if anyone knew what the replacement for the Pioneer DV-444 is going to be (http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=100238&highlight=)
Apparently, it is going to be the DV-656A, shipping next month. I called their customer service dept to ask, and the person I got said that it does NOT support DVD-R, DVD-RW or DVD+R. That seems odd, given the high degree of support in their previous models. I'm following up with an email to try to confirm or deny this.
Anyone else hear anything about this model?

What I have heard, the 444 is to replaced by 454. 656 (646?) is something I donīt know much about, except for integrated 5.1 dekoder etc. This is also a new model, but which one is the predecessor I donīt know..
