How do I add my own bonus features to dvd-r

I would like to add bonus features (a trailer, brief behind the scenes...) that I created for my home movie on my dvd-r. Do I attach these to the main movie mpg or do I keep them separate ? Thanks,

Keep them separate, then use an authoring program that will let you create menus. Personally I use DVDMaestro, but a lot of the DVD authoring programs will let you create menus.
