I just downloaded and installed ffmpegX and it seems a good program.
However, I have 5 avi files that I want to join into one.
In the join option, it seems that I can only select two files to join.
Can I work around this or configure it to choose, say, the five files to join?
thanks for any help on this.

- All parts should have the exact same characteristics, like when the parts were encoded and split by the same encoder in one session.
- For joining five parts, you could proceed as follows: join part 1 and 2, join the result with part 3, join the result with part 4, join the result with part 5.

Thanks for your reply.
It sounds like a long boring process and something the ffmpegx team should work on. Especially since they now make you pay for the program.
After writing, I discovered D-Vision 3 which joins multiple files in one process. Plus it's free.
I also found out that Visual Hub also does it easily. But since it is no longer being developed, it's a little hard to find.
In any case, thanks for confirming what I thought out on my own!

Thanks again, Case, for your reply.
D-Vison 3 solved my problem very well for this time.
I will keep your comment in mind and leave ffmpegX on my computer in case I need it for something else. then decide to buy or not.
Cheers.
