  1. I installed the ASPI drivers for Windows XP, but Nero still won't detect my burner. VCDEasy won't work either. Is there any other free burning software that will burn VCD's?

    Thanks,

    Luke

What was your sequence of installs i.e. Did XP get installed after the burner or other way around? Your profile states HP burner but what model etc? Have you checked vendor sites for updates in particular M$ knowledge base?

  3. The burner is an HP CD Writer 16f, and it came with my computer. XP was installed when I bought the computer new a month ago.

Check for updates with your vendor sites, upgrade you Nero to 5.5.9.0 is you haven't already. You could try CDRwin or the dreaded EasyCD, I'm not sure in EasyCD is demo ware but CDRwin can be trialed.

You probably have an out-of-date WinASPI driver layer on your PC. Look on the website belonging to the manufacturer of your SCSI adapter to see if you can find new ASPI or Miniport drivers.

    I wonder if thats Adaptec
