I've downloaded DVD video, it contains only video content in VIDEO_TS folder, and have no AUDIO_TS folder. Should I create empty AUDIO_TS folder before burning DVD? Or DVD burning program will create it automatically? Is the Nero Burning ROM good tool for burning DVD from VIDEO_TS source?

Use Imgburn, choose to create a Data DVD, add the VIDEO_TS folder and it will fix everything automatically.

Easy picker mode > Write files / folders to disc

Next window > click the little yellow folder icon and locate the video_ts folder ... you may wish to include an audio_ts folder

    You now have folders:

    VIDEO_TS
    AUDIO_TS

To the right click labels tab and put same name in both ISO9960 and UDF box's.

If media is ready click the big colorful icon in the lower left of imgburn to start the burning process ... a new box will open ... if everything is fine (check data amount) ... if fine click ok and leave till completed.

    Done

Create an empty AUDIO_TS folder just to avoid problems. Some DVD players have been reported to refuse to play DVDs that don't have this, even though the folder is only used on DVD Audio format discs.

I have ImgBurn 2.3.2.0 version, probably the GUI differs from recent version: there is no Easy picker mode > Write files / folders to disc option. Perhaps Mode > Build? But clicking to Build will create ISO image.

See the "Output" menu: "Device " (disc) or "Image file" (ISO)

Opps.. Yes, I see now. I just find also that 'DVD Video' tab in Settings already have 'Create AUDIO_TS Folder' checkbox checked. Will it create folder automatically?

  9. You know ImgBurn is free yeah?

Why don't you just update to 2.5.0.0 so you can use all the new features?!

yes, I know. Sure, will upgrade. One thing isn't clear: we can set the desired 'Write Speed' based on media type or DVD burner model and memorize it in a profile. Can ImgBurn memorize in separate profile the other settings: Booktype settings that I set in Change Book Type window: Change For: "Drive (For DVD+R Media)" and New Setting to "DVD-ROM", plus Options & Labels tabs settings, so that we don't need to set up each time?

  12. The booktype settings are normally stored in the drive. Where supported, ImgBurn automatically changes the temporary booktype setting to DVD-ROM anyway so you shouldn't have to worry about that.

All the settings except the volume labels are remembered when you close / reopen the program. You can always save a project file in build mode which then includes those too if you like - I'm not sure I see the point myself... why would you want all your discs to have the same volume label?!

Don't forget, there's no need to uninstall before putting on the new version so you won't lose any of your settings.

Even Nero Express will automatically create one without any user intervention.

You're right, sure, no needs to have the same volume label for all discs.. I mean to change BookType just to make DVD hardware more compatible with the DVD+R media. The settings are remembered, fine.
