Hello,
It seems there is so much information to sift through, that I wanted to first ask whether there are standard and/or commonly used methods for delivering video content on a website. A few major features I'm looking for.
1) I'd like the solution to work for the majority of browsers and operating systems.
2) I'd like the video to be the highest quality (clear and crisp).
3) I'd like the average user with basic broadband to be able to watch the video without waiting a long time and without frequent lags/stops.
The problem seems to be that one may be of higher quality but have fewer users prepared to handle such a file, while another may be the opposite way.
I really like the way Quicktime works, but Flash video seems more ubiquitous. But then again, embedding YouTube seems a bit less professional looking than other options.
Thoughts? Ideas? Recipes?
Thank you,
David
