    Now guys can any1 help mee. I've pulled a couple of movies recently harts war & the mexican i've perfect picture quality but no sound.
    my media player properties says its an unknown audio format tmpeg won't load it with sound & virtual dub says error reading format.
    I've tried various codecs but with no joy.
    Some 1 help me pleaseeeee.

    Try installing the Nimo codec pack, sounds like you have a codec missing like AC3

    ok a got mi sound & a can now play the movie on mi pc but a cannot convert it in tmpeg if a try & pull the sound out through virtualdub it tells me acm failed to suggest decompression format & tmpeg tells me file unsupported.

    How are you saving the WAV ?

    Vdub
    Audio > full processing mode
    Audio > conversion > 44.1Khz

    Thats wot am doin king john but like a say its just saying acm failed to suggest decompression format ive converted a good few movies over the last month or so but its bin over last couple of weeks ive had these 2 movies with sound problems.
    Ive tried to download lame but a cant run the program 4 some reason but cheers anyway bugster is there any other mp3 converters a can use.

    I wonder if you already had a AC3 codec and Nimo never replaced it. AC3 conversion in Vdub works just fine here. Still you don't want to spend too much time on this, the next AVI you get will be different
