  1. I have tried to find previous post on this topic(s) but with not much success.
I would like to know how to edit with tmpenc.I have 2 movies .One is not encoded to mpeg1..198mb,76 min.long, to which when I do encode it will be to large for 1 cd.The second is 89 min. long,234mb and it is encoded to mpeg1. How do I go about cutting to fit on 2cds,to make standard vcds.I use nero 5.5 and tmpgenc for encoding. Also,I have a few small films that I would like to join together on one vcd.How do I do this with tmpgenc? Also I hear that the audio must be the same for joining/splitting how do you determine this?
Sorry so long and probably redundant. All help appreciated!

  2. Look to your left, and you'll see: "How to...edit - cut, join, edit video". Click it, first link on the linked page is "How to Cut/Join with TMPGEnc"
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

Standard VCD is about 10mb per minute so...thats about 800mb for 80 minutes. Both your files would have to be encoded to mpeg1 VCD standard compliant files to be burnt as a standard VCD.
In nonstandard you can drop the bitrate slightly and get 90 to 100 minutes per 700mb CDR/RW.
After they are encoded...use TMPG's Cut / join option under File >MPEG tools> last tab is cut or join. This will either split one or join many mpgs together. If you encode all the files with TMPG then the audio can be encoded the same....thus avoiding wether they match or not.
