I wake up this morning and find a shit-TON of new grey hair! Easily 4 times as much as what I had yesterday.
How the hell is this physically possible? Overnight? Seriously?
Did the color literally fall out of each hair? How does a hair suddenly lose all pigment over its entire length?

I wish I was greying... I'm 32 and already have an ever enlarging bald spot on the back of my head.
Also when I let my beard grow I have noticed that about half of my beard is turning white!

I think it's because of my kids...
Two boys 7 and 3 years old.

My oldest son makes fun of my bald spot... I just laugh and tell him to see what he has to look forward to as he has my hairline!

My hairline started receding when I was about 25...
I've had a few greys since I was 15 and when I was about 17 got a spot roughly the size of a nickel that was all grey - but that all fell out several years ago...
I don't have kids (and WON'T), so I can't use that as an excuse. Though the puppy is driving me nuts lately...

Even worse with 16 year old daughters.

Don't underestimate the somatic powers of the human psyché.

The materialist science remains unable to find
any decent/convincing explanation for the phaenomenon.

I wish my hair had always been 100% white.
Another impossible dream of mine, so far.

Someone I know thought she had blond hair until she had cataract surgery and discovered that the yellowish tint from her cataracts. My sister and younger brother both went grey long before I did. They had daughters, I had sons. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Rub it in why don't you....

Wait no don't. If you rub my bald spot it'll just make it shine more!

Sorry, it wasn't my intention to rub it in. My Dad went bald in his 20s and it was my great fear that I would inherit his hairline. Maybe I should have mentioned that earlier...

I started finding gray hairs at 18 years old!!
A couple of my friends started to make fun (with their receding hair lines to almost the center of their heads, their dads were pretty much bald) and i just said yeah, both my grandpa's died with full heads of hair around 80yrs old...
Look at your dads and think about it

By 25 half of them were almost bald!!!
    Those cool looking combovers!!!

20 something years later and i still have a full head of hair with about 30% gray mixed throughout, no masses in one spot, but i started dieing that out last summer :P

    Only gray up top

It was not overnight, you just mentally blocked it till then

Both my grandfathers had full heads of hair too...
But I have the exact same hair line as my dad and half of his brothers...
With a "bonus" of a thinning spot up on the top as well.

And it was overnight. I cut my hair myself every week, I know what I'm looking at - this shit was not there yesterday.

  17. I'm 29 and have a very small sprinkling near my ears. I find that not caring about anything all that much works wonders to avoid gray hair.

I'm a bit too tightly wound for that approach.

In a 5-year study of men with mild to moderate hair loss, 48% of those treated with Propecia (finasteride 1mg) experienced some regrowth of hair, and a further 42% had no further loss.....
Propecia is effective only for as long as it is taken; the hair gained or maintained is lost within 6-12 months of ceasing therapy.
I decided a long time ago that I might as well live with it. I take pride in my appearance and I could spend the money on something that may or may not work for me but I'm confident enough in my self esteem to not let it bother me...

Thats the reason I can make jokes about my own growing baldness like I did in my earlier post.

Besides I don't want to take anything that could make me floppy and give me "boobs"

Only so much money in the budget so I could spend it on that or on my computer/video habit... Guess which will win out!
