    Hello friends,
    I have a LG rc288 dvd/vcr recorder. I need to hack the region code to be all regions. As this one will not play region 1 dvd's.
    I have tried the hack listed and after going through the list. After pressing "0" 7 times I do not get any message to say its region free. Has any body tried this hack sucessfully.
    Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Zero is a region free code. You will not get any message it will just play DVD.
    If there is a menu when changing region, you should see region "0".

    Cyprus is PAL format.
    Have you played an NTSC DVD before with this player?

    Yes I have played region 1 before. I had another DVD recorder came in for repair and I did the Hack on this one OK and after the 7th "0" it did display message congrulation you are know region free.
