Hi everyone, I am looking for a solution to a problem I face.
I have a PC here that I want to setup for streaming. I have several mapped drives to media I want to stream.
I want it such that a user can either visit a website and select an item (ideally) or connect remotely and select an item which the PC would then steam.
I would like either a windows or a linux solution (I dont really care which). It needs to be a whole solution not a mixed matched this may work if you do xyz. Preferably something I can just install and it will run with minimal configuration.
Does something like this exist?
Extra details
The PC (its only a test machine so yes its pathetic)
Celeron 600mhz, 512mb ram, 20gb hdd (media stored onthe network)
I have successfully streamed from vlc but its not very nice to setup and users shouldn't need to go into that kind of configuration each time tehy should just be able to select a file and click stream (or something similar) I also want a solution that will do video/mp3's too.
Any help Greatly Appreciated!
