Will be in FL for December but nowhere near a wi-fi hotspot - anyone know of a pay-as-you-go mobile broadband provider in the USA that I can use with Mac?
    Regards,

Your cellphone can work, depending on model, provider and plan features.

That's what I use when I get in your situation.

Not sure that's the best - I'll be wanting to upload lots of pics and vids. On an international roaming tarrif for my phone it would be too expensive.

Staying at a villa about 3 miles from I-192.

Had a look at Verizon, Cingulair and T-molbe but couldn't find any card options - would be screwed anyways as I'll be taking the MacBook Air which has one USB and nil else.

Looks like I'll be jacked up on caffeine at the Starbucks

p.s. yeah, the A-Team rocked for the first few series when they had Amy the journalist. Things went on the skids when they got that 'dishpan' character.

I was talking about mobile broadband.

My phone is web friendly and my plan includes web access - so with a USB cord my phone is a mobile broadband modem.

Most providers here will want to sign you up with a plan and sell you a card for your computer.

Many providers here will add international roaming for short periods for a fee. Does your service provider offer that?

I have a friend that runs a company that sells, leases and rents phones in the US that work in Europe, Asia and elsewhere. Are there similar businesses in your location?

Not too sure where "on the jazz" is - pretty sure I've been there, though.

I Googled "iphone as broadband modem" and got three different methods on the first page of results.

As with my phone, it's turned off / disabled by default but not too hard to restore to its full feature state.

Hannibal wouldn't let a poorly configured phone stop him.
