    If wrong forum, please move.

    I downloaded the latest version. This player does not seem to have a screengrab function. I've tried alt- and ctrl- print screen, but all I get is a black screen when I paste it into MS paint. Does anyone know how to successfully make a screen capture when using this player? Thanks.

  2. The easiest way around this is to play a video with another player (and leave it running, don't minimize it), then start Divx player and use PrtScn.

    Even better, use a program like VirtualDubMod which can read Avi files, has frame accurate positioning, and a save frame function.

    Use vlc or mediaplayerclassic instead. I'm 99% sure at least one of those has a screen cap utility.

    Also try virtualdub. Either powerdvd or windvd should be doable as well - though their sucess rate may be lower if its an odd variety of divx.
    Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

    I should mention that I'm trying to capture snaps from a "Microsoft Recorded TV Show" file generated by my desktop's WatchHDTV program. I tried opening the file in Virtualdub, but it says that ASF files are not supported. I tried VLC, but I'm having trouble getting the "interlace" just right. For the moment. the video is very "jerky." MPClassic barely plays the file at all; it just stutters along with no audio. Jagabo, I tried your little trick, but it distorted the video quality on the Divx player. I guess I'll keep fiddling with VLC till I get it right. Thanks.

  5. VLC: Video -> Deinterlace -> X
