sup fellas. i was brain strorming and thinking if something like this was available it may be cool. is their software or is it possible to creat software that i can dump to a external HD and plug into say a xbox360 or a hd tv with usb connections and have the video play thru the HD. yes i know they have ALOT of programs for streaming media to ps3, xbox360, etc. i do this now for my 360. the thing is that these latest video formats like avcHD and most matroska will not play on a xbox360 without reencoding or transcoding. the external hd would have to have all the codecs inorder to play the latest video types. plus you have to format the hard drive with mac drive in order for it to be read by the 360. too bad microsoft doesnt add these abilities to the 360 via firmware updates.
Sorry so long..is this even do able?
    thanks
