Is the Win-TV PVR PCI capture card ok for converting VHS to VCD/SVCD, is it possible to capture 50 mins of video with only 15GB hard drive space left?
How do you hook up the VCR to the Win-TV PVR PCI as my video only has 2 scart sockets?
What software should be used to capture and encode with?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ross Mitchell

hello M8
I have been using the haupage pvr usb version and boy is it good
you can do vcd/svcd/and dvd
have done a lot wiv this device
"it possible to capture 50 mins of video with only 15GB hard drive space left?"
well i have captured 90 mins @dvd quality it only took 3.871 gig(mpeg2)
so 15 gig will be fine

this one could get a bit tricky for you but basicly you may need a scart to (I asume that the capture board has phono for video commanly known as rca) phono on the scart pin, 19 +video out, 17 grnd, audio 1+3 , grng 4
to get the audio u may need a 3.5 stereo jack plug for the capture of audio or it could be just phono then to watch video on the tv just swap the scarts about

Good Question
I USE dvd2 avi this seperates the vid and audio
then tmpeg as this then puts them back to wat ever format you want
Hope that helps you
