Hello one & all,
I’ve got a problem that maybe you’ve seen before, and better yet, have a solution for.
I’ve captured some HD video from HDNet on 82W with DVB Dream. It’s 1280x720 with AC3 5.1 audio. I have tried three different programs to reencode down to a letterboxed 720x480 while preserving the 5.1 audio with the same audio flaw.
The problem; there are little micro beeps and glitches in the authored DVD (VOB) files, that are not present in the original MPEG file (using VLC or WMP). There appears to be no flaws in the video. I can hear the bleeps in the preview window of TMPEG.
I’ve had great success with SD video over the years, but this is my first stab at HD. Can anyone recommend a process or different S/W?
Tried; VideoReDo, TMPEG, ConvertXtoDVD, Grass Valley ProCoder 3, DVDlabStudio, PVAStrumento
Much obliged,
JohnnyC3

HDNet is broadcast 1080i. Where did the 720p come from?
 720p MPeg2-TS won't be that large. I'd archive that.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

Are you sure the audio is not reconverted? Demultiplex the audio from the video and use it as source audio in the authoring program like tmpgenc dvd author.
Do you hear beeps on the dvd on your computer or/and dvd player?

That's correct, but HDNet Canada on Bell Expressvu is 720i. I'm thinking I'll archive the (4.5Gig) hour show.Originally Posted by edDV
