Does anyone know of vendors w/ decent prices on double sided (9.4G) DVD-R?
Also has DVD+R hit the streets yet?
Thanx,
Jeff

Usually, I can find 2-8 DVD+R singles at CircuitCity or BestBuy. So far, I have not seen them at CompUsa. For larger quantities, you have to order online. That's what I've been doing.

does anyone know when or if they are available now, 9.4 single sided DVDR's? i would love to be able to "backup" my dvds straight to a DVDR without having to shrink them to half to fit on a double sided 4.7 gig or single sided 4.7g.

Hi,
With today's DVD-R recorders there's no way to use dual layer media for recording, it's a hardware limitation.

dvbr is refering to the dual layer 9+gig discs Hollywood uses.
They do not make DVD-R equilevent dual layer discs, because there are no burners that can use them.
www.cdrecordable.com has two sided discs for about $5 US.
I've had good results with them.
