Hi,
I am looking for an easy way to rip a DVD and then compress it so it can be copied to an iPod Nano?
Can anyone help with the steps to do something like that?
I have all the tools, DVDRipper, Handbreak, but I don't know how to use the effectively to accomplish the task of ripping and getting it to the iPod Nano.
When I rip it I am presented with an AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. I don't know what to do after that.
Thanks

Here's what I do:
If it is a commercial DVD,
1. I rip the DVD first with Mac The Ripper, as it handles all
current copyguards and is updated reguarly.
2. Then, with the ripped DVD on my HD, I launch Visual Hub, select
the Video_TS folder, drag and drop it into the open window.
I then select the "iPod" tab, then select "Optomize for iPod Nano"
and click start.
3. When it's done, I manually add it to iTunes (I like to keep and organize
my own playlists, different from Apple's default "Movies")
and sync it to my iPod.
If it is a homemade DVD ( non-commercial),
then I just finder copy the disc to my Mac's HD,
and then follow steps 2 and 3 above.
I don't use handbrake because to me, Visual Hub works better in
my "workflow", but here is a guide for Handbrake on
getting movies to ipod."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?
