    hi all I have recorded live tv the program was 90min..I'm trying to use windows media player to burn it..and it tells me the program is too big..have also tried burning it on real player and it sez the same thing..originally it was a 5.5 hrs program but I split it into 90min program the dvd's I'm using are 2hrs..can anyone help..

    There is no such thing as a two hour DVD. Ignore what the manufacturers write on the packaging - it is just marketing blurb.

    The actual amount of video you can fit on a disc is set by a simple rule : Size = Running Time X Bitrate. You know how big your disc is (4.38 GB), you know your Running Time (90 minutes), so use a bitrate calculator to work out the bitrate you need to encode at to make this fit.

    If you cannot enter a bitrate into either of these tools, or they are simply trying to burn a file that is too bbig anyway then you need to look at using better tools.
