    Hey all,

I saw a few other posts on this, but it didn't seem like the question got answered. I am trying to use FFMPEGX to convert my movies from MPEG or MOV to FLV. Everytime I run the software, it tells me that it's done, but the resulting file is zero kb (which doesn't work). What am I doing wrong? Is this a known bug or is it my settings? How do I fix this?

    Thanks!

    UPDATE:

OK, I was able to get the video to encode, but I noticed some odd issues. When I encoded a video without sound, the playback was fine. However, when I encoded the same video with a very small snippet of audio, the playback was jerky, regardless of the settings I manipulated. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the link, but I'm a Macintosh user and it appears that this software is Windows only.

I'm having the same problem where I try to convert mov to flv and the file is zero kb. You said you got yours to work, what did you do differently? Also, is there a way to convert mov to swf rather than flv?

I posted this on another thread, but a solution I found when using iMovie is to export the file to .dv as opposed to .mov format. To do this, select File -> Export -> Compress movie for "Full Quality". FFMPEGX properly converts .dv files to .flv files.

Only problem I have now is that sometimes I use QuickTime to add an image file to the .dv file, and then QuickTime converts the .dv file to a .mov file. So the above solution won't work in that case.

Anyone have any ideas for a program that works for .mov -> .flv files? tia
