Since this brand don't exist here in Greece, I have to ask the experts here!

Sign Video DR-1000 Image Enhancer or PA-100 Single Proc Amp for me, the PAL user?

From what I know, DR1000 with a Datavideo TBC100 and a canopus ADVC 50 is an excellent combination for VHS to DVD transfers. I already have ADVC, TBC100 is on the way, I would love a "video" enhancer for some really old tapes of mine... (it's about time).

  2. I think the SignVideo gear is NTSC only... here's the link:

    http://www.signvideo.com/

There's a device in Europe called the ACE standards converter that some have mentioned is very good... it has a TBC, proc amp and detailer in it, too:

Thanks, I would love some feedback about those things!

Ace costs a months salary for me BTW. GTH ACE Advanced Convertor Enhancer is half's month salary, maybe it is an alternative for me...

I cancel my TBC100 order and I bought ACE Advanced Convertor Enhancer. Cost me 2/3 or my monthly salaray, but it seems that it does things I need. I shall report later about it!

  7. Have someone figured out if these Signvideo units work also with PAL video standard (are not signal prejudged)?

    DR1000 Image Enhancer
    http://www.signvideo.com/dr1000_image-enhancer_video-processor.htm

    CR100 Color Registration Corrector
    http://www.signvideo.com/cr100_color-registration-corrector_video-processor.htm

    PA-100 Single Proc Amp
    http://www.signvideo.com/single_dual_proc-amp_video-processor.htm

I found from this forum that at least DR1000 should work and maybe PA-100 if PAL color carrier frequncy are supported. But have no idea about CR100.

I emailed at signvideo, but what I get back is just "I'm afraid they are NTSC only". No techical information at all.
Actually I don't believe this but I'm not sure and afraid to spend money on maybe useless equipment.

Are someone sure they work also with PAL or have seen PAL versions of these?
    How to distinguish between them?

    What I got from Signvideo:

    > I am afraid these units are specific to NTSC. We used to offer PAL
    > versions, but the interest was low, so we discontinued them. Sorry.
    > If I can assist you with anything else please let me know.

    >We are the designer and manufacturer of these units, and as I expressed
    >in my previous email, we no longer build the PAL versions. The units
    >available are specific to NTSC.
