Hello All
I need your help please,
I burned my DVD movie using Nero on a DVD- and took it to a small company that copies DVDs and they called back and said that there is a problem with my DVD and they want me to re-burn it on a DVD+, they told me that there is some missing files.
Dose this make any sense to anyone out their?!! and what is the best way to do this in futere?
Thank you in advance

A winner is a person who asks questions and listens to the answers; a loser never listens. A person can run away from his troubles just as easily as he can run away from his shadow.

Use Imburn instead. Nero is an adequate burning application for data and audio, but not the best choice for DVD Video.
You should ask them to clarify exactly what they believe is missing, in case they are expecting something you haven't even though of.Read my blog here.

I did a project with this company few years back.
There's no specific reason for DVD+R... never heard of it(bitsetting?). I used Gear software to create a master at the time.

have you edited the dvd since you first created it, ie deleted a video file etc. if so it could be the DVD info file still has the information about the missing file, but the actual file is not there.

Nero may not be the BEST, but it is often more than acceptable, even for DVD-Video burns.
However, you do want to get to the bottom of what may be a problem with your disc. Does it play in settop players for you?
Have you run an ISOBuster scan on a copy of your master?
Have you checked the IFO and VOB structures with IFOEdit/VOBEdit?
If all these check out, you should be fine, and I would look askance at the dubbing house...
...which leads me to my next suggestion,
WHY AREN'T YOU REPLICATING?!
You're doing over 1000--it cost more to duplicate at that stage than to replicate, and the disc compatibility, longevity, and even print quality are much better.

Just what guns1inger said, the master is irrelevant, it's the job of the burner to set the booktype.
Maybe they have some monkey butt readers that only read +R, or they are clueless about something -

All they do is replicate delivered material unless they're hired to produce a master as well. -
Discmakers is an outstanding company. They can assist with authoring as well as replication.
