I used the latest version of Nero ( 5.5.7.8 ) to burn the Scorpion King (495 MB centropy divx) onto a VCD (using a CD-RW). Although Nero did encode it and then burn it as a VCD on my computer (Pentium 3 550mhz w/ 128 ram), and my DVD player (Sony DVP-NS300) can play the video fine, the audio is not on key with the video. The sound comes a half a second after it's supposed to. Any helpful hints from the wonderful experts here?

  2. Don't use nero to encode, its crap. Use TMPGEnc to do the encoding and use nero to burn. Also check that the audio stream is'nt compressed. If it is a DIVX, it probrably is. Extract it to a wave file using virtualdub. Then use TMPGEnc to encode, select your DIVX file as the video stream, and the wav file you have saved as the audio stream.

Thank you very much Craig. This really helps, and that's what I'll do. I have TMPEG and Virtualdub so I'll give it a shot 8)
