    I've done a few hours of digging and haven't found exactly what I need yet.

    The solutions that I've seen so far come in two categories:

    1) Download a boot image, save to floppy, and use burn software to make a cd

    2) Use dedicated image stripping software to strip a boot image off one disc, and add it to another. (a complex process, it seems)

    If it exists, I would like to find a boot image that doesn't have to go to a floppy first, but can simply be plugged into the burn software directly, combined with the data, and make a disc.

    I have Nero 6, but the built in Caldera Dos is not condusive to solving my current problem, which is making a bootable backup of Win98, as I get a 'largest program size' error when running setup.

    And if I find a 'non-floppy' image, I'll need different burnware too, as Nero6 won't accept alternatives.

    Any help is appreciated.

    do a google on barts PE, and also win98 boot image

    I have a USB flash drive /cigar pro memory stick that i made bootable

    I think that was done with an utility from HP
