If you have Premiere it will create one for you.

Microsoft have a couple of very slick looking countdown leaders in their free Movie Maker packages in high bitrate wmv format.
    Read my blog here.

I'll add another old one to the list.......

    http://www.btco.net/video/oldleader.wmv

Right click on the link and Save Target As

It's similar to MOVIEGEEK'S clip, with some added stuff at the beginning.

    It's also Full-Screen!

edit.... I just watched it in slow motion and it says "Adobe Universal Leader".
A man walked into his son's room and said..."Son, that will cause blindness."
The boy said, "Dad, I'm over here."

Ohh, that one is cool! I like that it stops at 3, wiki says that is where they are supposed to stop.

Look at the tail end of some of the Pink Panther cartoons, from the DVD set.

Use The Google and search for "tv test pattern"? Image result is the first link, a whole load of different images (test bars, "Indian Head", etc.)

Ahhh, the one's I seem to remember were static images, like the ones in the Google results.

Can you describe which one it is you're looking for?

It's been a while, but I seem to remember a flag waving with music (can't remember exactly but possibly star spangled banner) and lasting maybe 30 - 45 seconds (thats just a guesss)

    4/3:

    16/9:
    http://www.4shared.com/file/9890694/8d11990a/leader_16_9_dvd.html

These are 729*480 DVD spec mpeg2, Adobe Universal Leaders; the previews don't seem to work on my browser but you can download from the link.

EDIT: Had the wrong file in the 16/9 upload, corrected that and had to change the link, so the above links are both now good.
