I downloaded SpeedFan to monitor my CPU temperature, and while that's fine, my HDDs are running pretty hot, 50 & 52 degrees Celsius. Anyone have good suggestions for HDD coolers that are reasonably priced and quiet?
Thanks!

The simplest is just a 8CM fan in front of them to suck in air from the front of the case and blow over them. This is also one of the more efficient methods. Most cases already have the mounts. If you don't have a rear case fan, you might add one of them also. Good case airflow will keep all the components cooler.
Get a fairly low speed fan, less than 2000RPM to keep down the noise. If you can fit the larger, 12CM fans, even better. Your HDs should be running about 37C, and they will probably last longer. Some drives run hotter than others. I usually see a 10 - 15C drop with just a front fan.
If you don't have those mounts, you can get fans that fit between the drives if there is space. Similar to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811999152
There are also some that mount inside the case and can be directed toward the drives. -
Tbat's what's worrying me: I already have a 12CM fan. And I'm an idiot for not mentioning it in the 1st post...

The best I have seen is the case which moves your HD into a 5.25" bay. I think Silverstone and Coolermaster each make one.
Still a few bugs in the system...
