  3. wow. sounds like you guys know what you're doin! :P

by any chance, what is the most idiot proof way of doing this? also, does the 4 SVCD movie fit on 1 DVD-R after doing so?

I have the Pioneer standalone DVDR-7000 (japanese) and use this and a source player. Its cool, but take forever, and DVDRs only hold exactly 2 hours of data. If the methods discussed allow you to stretch this time so all 4 fit on one DVDR, sign me up for one of them Pioneer internal DVDR drives!!!!

I just got an iMac, one of them new ones. any idea if SVCD files can be dropped in iDVD to archive to DVDR?

using tmpgenc load that DVD Template and reencode all four parts one by one (it will take more then 10h) once you get four differrent new file merge them toghter
after that i used dvdit and made DVD
picture still looks good no black bars sound also
this is my first DVD and i'm very happy about come on it took me two weeks to get that one
next time it will be better

  8. I have done the whole thing patched it and burnt it etc... and now i have a Svcd-DVD and on my big screen with my Xbox attatched it plays perfectly full screen etc.... And looks and sounds great, however upstairs on my pionere DVD player it looks and sounds great BUT the picture only takes up about 2/3 of the screen the rest is like black bars around it... Is this because my tv or my dvd does not support the resolution??? Im assuming its the dvd player because normal SVCDs play fine on it and on the tv... I figure the hybrid Svcd-Dvd just is not liked by it... anyone know which dvd players do work well with this method of conversion ?
    Thanks
