Hi,
I'm using a JVC S-VHS model number SR-V101US in conjunction with a stand-alone DataVideo TBC-1000 for playing back tapes. My JVC unit has the built-in video stabilizer feature as well as a built-in TBC.
Will playing back a tape with the video stabilizer feature turned "on" while passing the signal through my TBC cause any odd problems when capturing?
I have noticed on one occasion that movement seems jerky on a capture of a tape that contained some fast action scenes (while TBC and stabilizer are used together). If I turn off the stabilizer, all is well. Is this common? The tape in question had some flagging issues. Could this be contributing to the disturbance?
For what it's worth, I've read LordSmurf's and other's posts about the JVC VCRs and what not, but I couldn't find anything addressing this specific point.
I'm a tad bit concerned, as I captured some videos with the TBC and stabilizer on together, and I'm now wondering if I should go back and re-transfer those tapes.
Thanks,
Justin
