  1. I was using VCDEasy. I added the mpg file and did everything else, and hit go, everything went ok till the end when there was an error.. it said:
    "ERROR: Write data failed
ERROR: Writing failed - buffer under run?
    ERROR: Writing failed"

This is my first time attempting to burn a VCD so any kind of help is great. thanx....

  2. Try adjusting these CDRDAO settings first:
Burn speed: you generally have to decrease this
Buffer size: you generally have to increase this
Force driver: try "generic-mmc" if you writer isn't listed
My burner's max speed is 8x, and I was able maintain this speed by increasing the buffer size to 512.

Use "simulate" mode until you can avoid getting these kinds of errors. Also, to save some time while testing, create the cd image in a separate step (.bin and .cue files) - uncheck burn and simulate on the main page. Now when you press "Go" it will just create these files and won't attempt to burn. Adjust your CDRDAO settings as described above. Then load the .cue in CDRDAO Tools, check "Simulate" and then select "Burn".
