I am trying to get Pirates of the Caribbean 2 on to my ipod and also copy it to another DVD-R
When i use DVD decrypter to get the VOB on my computer, it all runs fine with no errors, but if i try to play that file i get a second or two of some video that doesn't look like PotC2 before it closes.
This is in a 6GB file! Something is not right.
I am ripping it for the 4th time now
DVD shrink wouldn't let me copy it either.

I have always used DVD decrypter to rip DVDs before.
And all the guides i have ever followed have never mentioned using any other software -
oh and like i said i used shrink to copy it to another DVD but got part way though doing it (about 4%) then gave an error and stopped

If you insist on using DVD Decrypter on it's own then you will not be able to rip your DVD. Take ricoman's advice.

i am trying that now, but how come i have been ble to do it with just DVD decrypter in the past, and all guides i have ever used don't mention the use of other programs?

DVD Decrypter is quite old and hasn't been updated for a long time, that's why it struggles with the new copy protections.

the problem now is that i have a load of files instead of just one.
How do i now convert these into one file for my ipod? -
DVDDecrypter is not only old but no longer being developed. For recently released DVD's it's time to move on. Use either RipIt4Me or DVDFab Decrypter and then DVD Shrink or Nero Recode. I don't have a video iPod (or any PMP for that matter) so I can't suggest any further.Originally Posted by Spacedementia87
