    Is there any way to simultaneously record & watch a previously recorded show on this unit? Also, has anybody been able to upgrade the 160 GB HD on this unit?

    I'm pretty sure this is the big brother to the 80GB Polaroid 2001G I have. I can (and have done so) watch a previously recorded show from the HDD while it's doing a timer recording. I can also burn a DVD while watching or while recording. I'd be very surprised if yours can't do the same thing. Give it a try. Set up a trial recording and while it's ongoing hit the HDD button and select a prior recording to watch. See if it works. What's the worst that could happen ?

    As to the HDD upgrade ... again it works on the Polaroid. See that thread and the one over at AVS forums for more info.
