  1. Just did my first capture using VirtualDub. Followed the capture guide on this site, "How to capture to AVI in realtime and after convert to VCD,SVCD, DVD" to the letter. Used the Huffy codec. Seemed to go OK. Preview OK. No dropped frames. But, on playback, all colors were either red or green. Looked something like a color photo negative. Got the same result twice. Did not do the convert. What did I do wrong? I am using an ATI AIW 128, the latest driver, and the "wrapper". OS is Win ME on a Dell R450 with lots of HDD and ram. MPEG captures are OK using MMC 7.1. Don't know where to go from here.

  2. I am also having this problem. The picture looks fine in overlay mode, but in preview and when viewing the capture after the fact, it looks like a green photo negative. Sound seems to be OK. I have an ATI AIW 128, the latest ATI drivers, the VfW wrapper, and am running Win98SE. Also used the Huffyuv codec.

  3. yes i have the same problem here.. if i use mmc7.2 or 7.6 i can capture at vcd with no frames dropped but can not go higher then vcd qaulity for some reason when i start the tv app in xp or 2000 it consumes almost 100% of my cpu time so capture is hosed for that reason. so i have been trying powervcr and vdub plus a couple of other freeware capture utilities i have found.. when i do a record with any of the above stated apps The picture looks fine in overlay mode, but in preview and when viewing the capture after the fact, it looks like a green and red photo negative. Sound seems to be OK. I have an ATI AIW 128 on xp or 2000 i have tried both the huffy and pic codecs with vdub same results..
anybody have a clue about this

    thanks Scott
