But the audio quality is very low. I can only hear from one speaker. can anyone pls tell me how to overcome this problem.
thanks,

Is it the tape? Does the tape have both channels? Try another tape.
If it's the tape, you can do something with the audio - copy the audio from one channel to the other. You have to take the audio out of the video and then put it back in. Someone else here will have to tell you how to do that - I only know that it CAN be done, just not HOW.
First question is if it's the tape or your hardware.XP

I tried different tapes but everythig's the same. Even when i have the speaker volume on full i can hrdly hear the audio. And there is a hissing noise too.

Can you make sure that your vcr is generating two channels?

Mmm... i'm not sure how to do that can u pls let me know how i can check that. There is only one Audio output in the VCR if that's wht u mean.
i also tried to connect the VCR with a Rf cable and capture the video through the tuner. But stiil even with fuul speaker volum i can hardly hear the audio. -
You must have a mono vcr than if you have only one audio output. What you can do is buy a simple rca audio splitter - usually less than $10 US and avaiable everywhere - sometimes even at a cvs pharmacy type store. Then you can hook up your regular stereo cables to the split cable. You will get mono still but you will have it in both channels not just the one channel.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Try to hook the VCR up to anything that will allow you to hear both channels - headphones are probably best, since this will isolate the sound. If you only hear one side, then it's definitely not the card!
Then, just do what yoda said.XP

thanks guys. I was thinking that there might be a spliter like taht but i was worried to go ahead and buy cos the sound quality is ver very low. I mean even with one speaker the volume is vwry wvry low. I hope buying a spliter will hwlp that problem

A splitter will not help with that since it will reduce the audio signal level to half on each of the two inputs (that were just one).
Bot together the two sides should equal what was coming out of just the one side before.
