Hi newbie dave85,
Welcome to the forum.
1. In order to watch avi files use other players like:
KMPlayer or GOMplayer or VLC (all excellent freeware), because they all have codecs needed to play avi files.
2. To put them onto DVD - just use Nero or other burning program. But if you wish to convert them to DVD use VSO DivxToDVD (freeware) or ConvertXtoDVD (shareware). -
You have solved one problem, but for this:
you'ld better start a new thread with proper title like for example:Originally Posted by dave85

Technically, what they have are built-in decoders - they don't rely on any (standalone) codecs. That will allow you to watch them, but if you want to convert them into anything else, you better get the proper codecs installed (unless you use a program with built-in encoders too).Originally Posted by Jeremiah58
